Hello and a warm welcome to you from the Student Affairs Division! We are thrilled that you are interested in Jefferson Davis Community College and hope your experience will be rewarding and enjoyable.
During your time as a student at JDCC, you will have the opportunity to work closely with departments within Student Affairs, such as the Registrar's Office, Financial Aid, Student Support Services, and Counseling Services. Also, you will have opportunities to participate in various clubs and organizations on campus. Our goal is to help make your student experience a smooth one, from the very first day of class to graduation. We will do our very best to serve you, and respond to your needs in a timely and professional manner. Our hope is that you will work with us in helping to ensure that your experience at JDCC is the best it can be.
Once you enroll, don't forget to activate your JDCC student e-mail account by following the directions on the college's website. The college will communicate with you primarily through e-mail; therefore, it is important that you check your student e-mail often. Should you need to use a college computer, there are numerous computer labs located on both campuses and information about these labs can be found in the Student Handbook section of the JDCC catalog.
As your time begins with us, make the most of the opportunities available to you. Meet other students. Get involved in campus life. Develop a relationship with your faculty advisor. Visit with the faculty and seek counsel from our professional staff. Above all else, make a difference in and out of the classroom.
Once again, WELCOME to JDCC! I look forward to meeting you soon.
