Jefferson Davis Community College's nursing program has a reputation for training excellent nurses. More than 1,200 nurses have graduated from the program. The Associate Degree Nursing (RN) Program began in 1970-71, with the first class graduating in 1973.  There have been many changes over the years and our program continues to expand. 

JDCC's nursing program is accredited by the National League of Nursing Accrediting Commission and has approval of the Alabama Board of Nursing.

There are two ways in which students earn the Associate in Applied Science Degree in Nursing.  

Standard Associate Degree track is for students who are non-nursing/non-LPN.
•  Students are admitted Spring Semester on the Brewton campus and Fall Semester on the Atmore campus.
 
Moblity LPN to Associate Degree is designed for licensed practical nurses who wish to become RN's.
