The Jefferson Davis Community College Foundation is a separate entity from the College with the sole purpose of providing support for the
College and its educational mission. The Foundation accepts gifts of cash, securities, property, and materials to be used for educational
and cultural projects in alignment with the College's strategic plan, institutional priorities, and projects and resource requirements. In
addition the Foundation helps to promote the College through communicating College events and educational opportunities to the community.

The Foundation sponsors two major fundraising activities: The Murder Creek Classic Golf Tournament (held annually the third Thursday in
October) and the Art and Architecture Home Tour (held biennially in the spring). Memorial gifts and other donations are received throughout
the year.
The Foundation is governed by a board that meets quarterly. Board members plan the fundraising activities, select scholarship recipients,
and assure that money is spent appropriately. Board members are:
